Charlotte (Series 1)

Sale Price:$20.00 Original Price:$27.99
sale

A small coastal community along the shores of Lake Ontario, Charlotte was a small resort town to itself before being annexed by Rochester in 1916. Stop by Turning Point Park, Port of Rochester, the pier and boardwalk, Abbotts Custard, or have a picnic at the recently renovated Ontario Beach State Park. The Charlotte subway stop shirt features a historical gem unique to Charlotte: a carousel horse from the Dentzel menagerie carousel "The Dutchess."

The colors of the shirt also signify the unique character of this neighborhood: lake blue for, well, the lake, and bright orange for the Coast Guard station positioned right at the mouth of the Genesee River.

The Rochester subway system traveled west to east servicing as much of the city neighborhoods as possible: Residents and visitors of Charlotte would jump on and off the Glenwood station for access.
