An extremely diverse neighborhood, the majority of 14621 traces its beginnings to Polish immigrants seeking new life in Rochester's boomtown era. Joining the ethnic ranks of Frankfurt and Dublin neighborhoods, Polish Town established itself as a welcoming community for Slavic immigrants. Reminders of the old neighborhood remain along Hudson Ave. with street names like Warsaw, Sobieski, Kosciusko, and Pulaski. Another beacon of Polish influence is the St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, contributing Romanesque Revival architecture and an Eastern-European helmut dome to the city landscape. The vibrant orange brick of the church is reflected as the supporting color of the 14621 shirt.

Further north includes another one of Rochester's vast parks designed by the renowned Frederick Law Olmstead: Seneca Park. Hugging the river side, the park provides large green spaces and recreational areas for Rochesterians seeking calm natural surroundings. Within the park also includes one of the oldest zoos in the US, The Seneca Park Zoo featuring animals from around the world in enriching habitats and exhibits. Both of these features of 14621 are featured in the color of the shirt and Elephant graphic.

Rochester's long stretching network of trolley routes serviced the far reaches of the city; The 1100 line of Clifford and Joseph started in Homestead Heights and travels through Marketview Heights north into the heart of the 14621 neighborhood.
